1. Overview
With the continuous development of science and technology, the machine tool industry is developing in the precise, high-speed and integrated direction. Spindle is the main tool directly driving the workpiece for cutting. Therefore, the spindle precision directly affects the workpieces ccuracy and surface roughness. Moreover, it directly determines the cutting efficiency.
2. System Scheme
This solution tells about the practical application of Veichi AC100-C servo spindle AC drive on lathe spindle. As the main spindle driving unit, AC100-C works together with Guangshu 928TA2 CNC system according to the given signal to achieve spindle position control and speed control, so the turning, drilling and other working procedures can be completed on the same machine tool.
a. Technological process
(1) Start machine tool, clamp chuck, CNC system gives analog speed control signal, spindle rotates at high speed, lathe tool goes into the station, and then enter the turning procedure.
(2) After the machining is completed, the CNC system switches signal to change speed control mode to position control mode. Then the workpiece rotates to the defined angle, the power head starts drilling in station.
(3) Perform positioning and drilling the nest 5 angles in sequence.
(4) When drilling is completed, please switch to speed mode to perform turning process for the second time.
(5) When the turning process is done, please loosen chuck, and then shut down the machine.

3. Debugging Method
a. Debugging steps
(1) Enter the motor nameplate parameters F5.00-F5.11.
(2) Make sure the transmission ratio and gear ratio between motor and encoder according to the encoder installation mode, then enter the ratio into F5.19, then set the encoder resolution to 1024.
(3) Set F5.12 to value 1 to start the self learning.
(4) Enter the function code of input and output terminal for confirmation.
(5) Convert the angle into proper encoder value and then enter it into F9.06-F9.011. If you don not know the accurate angle, please rotate the axis manually to detect the encoder feedback value, and then enter it into F9.06-F9.11.
(6) According to the positioning effect, please adjust the position loop parameters F9.03, F9.04.
